Dublin has by far the largest choice of tours in Ireland. Two kinds are worth your money: tickets with a time slot for the attractions that queue, and day trips to places that are awkward to reach without a car. A guided walk on your first morning is the quickest way to make sense of the city.
Hand-picked tours & tickets

Booking notes
- Book direct for two key sights. Kilmainham Gaol tickets are sold on its official website, released a few weeks in advance, and sell out fast. Book of Kells tickets are sold by Trinity College for timed entry. Tours sold elsewhere may or may not include entry — read the listing.
- Guinness Storehouse tickets are for a time slot and are cheaper off-peak; mornings are quietest.
- Day trips are long. The Cliffs of Moher and Giant’s Causeway are each about three hours away. If your route includes Galway or Belfast, visit from there instead.
- The Giant’s Causeway tour enters Northern Ireland (UK). See the travel guide for entry rules.
