IrelandTravel.com exists to answer the questions that come up when you plan a trip to Ireland: where to go, how long to stay, how to get between places, and what is worth booking ahead.
What the site covers
We cover the whole island — the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland — and label clearly which jurisdiction each place is in, because currency, road signs and entry rules differ. The site is organised as a portal: region-wide pages on tours, itineraries, transport, practicalities, seasons and accommodation, and twelve destination guides, each with six pages of its own.
How we work
- Accuracy first. We would rather say “around” or “check current rates” than print a price or opening time that will be wrong next season. Entry rules, fares and timetables change; always confirm with official sources.
- Real products only. Every tour and ticket we list is a real GetYourGuide product, and every hotel a real Trip.com listing. Where coverage of a destination is thin, we say so.
- Even-handed on history. Ireland’s history, and Northern Ireland’s in particular, is contested. We aim to describe it in neutral terms and recommend guides who do the same.
- Free images, credited. Photographs come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences and are listed on our image credits page.
How the site is funded
The site is free to use and is supported by affiliate commissions: if you book a tour or hotel through one of our links we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. See our affiliate disclosure.
