Cork’s nearby sights are all reachable by public transport, so tours here are mostly about combining several stops in a day — Blarney, Cobh and Kinsale lie in three different directions — or about a guide’s stories, as on the Titanic walk in Cobh.

Booking notes
- Cruise days: liners dock at Cobh through the summer, and on those days Blarney and Kinsale are noticeably busier. Go early.
- Blarney Castle can have a queue of an hour or more for the stone at midday in July and August.
- Boat trips from Kinsale run mainly from spring to autumn, weather permitting.
- The Jameson distillery at Midleton, east of Cork, runs its own tours and is reachable by train.
